A “heist” means something very valuable is being stolen. Many movies have been centered around big heists — Ocean’s 11, for example. In this case, the Trump administration has hijacked the Bank of the American People — and it’s a humongous robbery happening in plain sight—tens of billions of dollars are being transferred from the working class to the wealthy. Meanwhile, everyday families, families, and taxpayers are paying the price. Federal education policies being enacted are stealing from schools, communities, & students — especially those from traditionally underserved communities—of the resources and supports they need to succeed.
