The opening of the mold is where the real magic happens… a delicate and satisfying moment of reveal, when I finally see if the piece holds what I imagined

Feliz aniversario!!

Once the piece is born, there’s no need to touch it too much, only what’s necessary to smooth the edges... the design has already been shaped in the leather mold 🤍
This mold began as an exploration of growth through repetition ✨ I imagined modular pieces that could be added or removed vertically, allowing the form to expand or contract in height and diameter. From this idea, I developed geometric structures with pinched volumes, inspired by the kaleidoscopic world of triangles 📐
Now let’s see what will happen once porcelain enters the mold 🫣

Until now, my exploration has focused on forms and textures. Color has always come from the way shadows paint the surface as they move across it.
But recently I’ve stepped a little further. I’ve been playing with luster to deepen certain areas, and I’m really enjoying how it expands the pieces without losing subtlety ✨

Like the body, porcelain is vulnerable and alive to the touch. The process is corporeal, it involves pressure, breath, resistance.
Sewing, pouring, and binding are physical gestures that leave their trace.
