here in Beijing surrounded with amazing local cuties, sparkling smiles and complex flavors, getting into my first solo show in China this Saturday 🐾 Beijing planet friends and family, hope to see you at @clcgalleryventure with some extra fluffy hugs 🩔🩔🩔 ć±æƒ…çœŒ Eventsight 16.05 - 28..06 2026 opening: 16.05.2026 16:00 摹äșŒè‡łć‘šæ—„ 11:00 - 18:00 Tuesday-Sunday 11:00 - 18:00 Last year, as Zhang Ran and I walked through Berlin’s Neukölln district, it was hard to imagine how the constant smell of grilled chicken connected to her work. Zhang Ran, who has lived in this neighborhood for awhile, described it in vivid scenes—like fragments of a novel. “Eventsight” is her first solo exhibition in @clcgalleryventure in China. It continues her previous projects, exploring a possible connection between biological knowledge and personal experience. Growth and annihilation happen like cell division. Fictional characters become fragments of a visual G protein-coupled receptor consciousness, existing only through description. Her laser-cut 2.5-dimensional acylic works materialize the G-protein story. Born from negative space—acrylic plates remnants from previous cuts. Printed chicken skin, protein structures, eye floater patterns—all weave into the textures of her work. Plastic scraps, images, even peeled films cycle into new shapes. They grow iteratively into new characters, fed by the old self. “You duplicate me, I duplicate you.” Constant reproduction. A shape is not a center, not a ruler, but a rhizome network woven by mutually describing beings. Within this decentralized network, each node—toward invisible, uncertain connections—still passionately calls out for love. This is fiction’s healing technology. Who knew? Chickens, descendants of dinosaurs. Now the smell of grilled chicken drifts through Berlin’s Neukölln, just as fried chicken is everywhere in Beijing’s Wangjing district. original full-length text in Chinese by @s.shixian Graphic design: Wang Xin thanks to @theslatersociety for inventing the term ‘2.5-dimension’ #clcgalleryventure #galleryweekendbeijing

mutual weedies, springy Berlin bear pit, baby green leaves arrived, it’s last weekend to see Weirder, Taller, Uglier, Louder – Feral Possible around Karl-Marx-Straße and Carrer Cobalt 🩔🩔🩔🩔🩔 09-10 May 10:00-18:00 Weirder, Taller, Uglier, Louder – Feral Possible around Karl-Marx-Straße and Carrer Cobalt is the third exhibition within the overall project Louder, Taller, Uglier, Weirder – Learning from Weeds. For this stage at @baerenzwinger.berlin , new works take root. Artist Ran Zhang @distant_hat invited artist duo Lolo & Sosaku @loloysosaku to collaborate on creating a weedy environment within a space marked by a particular history of control and domination, both in its current role as an exhibition venue and its past as a bear pit. Louder, Taller, Uglier, Weirder – Learning from Weeds is a curatorial project comprising four exhibitions and a series of events that appear as “sprouts” across the city over the course of the project. Guest-curated by Anaïs Senli @anais_senli , Lorena Juan @lopecado , Sonia Fernández Pan @sf__pan and Sylvia Sadzinski @sylv_inski
