Ames Window & Dissonant Dessert - A S T E R A C E A E (A family of flowering plants commonly known as the Daisy family) Originally performed in 2021, spontaneously, outdoors without any preconceptions, on acoustic guitar and flute. 3 lengthy improvisations. Then 3 years later meticulously added upon with various additional instruments including bass clarinet, ukulele, hulusi, and sheng splitting into natural movements. This has been a fortuitous celebration of creativity, humanness, art, music, life, earth, and kinship. “Biennial” drops October 1st ahead of the album release of “ASTERACEAE” on Halloween, October 31st, 2025. I interviewed him right after he returned from a gig opening for Parliament Funkadelic in New Orleans with the band Tamarie T. & Thee Elektra Kumpany @elektra_kumpany Ohni (and his band, Rizing Deity) have been working on their own style of Afro-Prog-Fusion in Chicago for over a decade. Friend and frequent collaborator Eric Novak, better known as the prolific Dissonant Dessert @dissonantdessert , joins him to float through space on this track.

Theatre is the place to make believe. “Atlantis” is a timeless “tome” that vanished through belief, yet eternally resurfaces because of it. “Do you believe in life after love? ” In those moments when my faith in love shattered like delicate glass, I am profoundly grateful for all of you who gathered in the theatre to build those fragments up into a crystal chandelier that illuminates our stage.
