@maraltaskirici is now at @displayfever online. ❤️ Maral Taskirici is an interdisciplinary artist with a primary focus on ceramics. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.  Her work delves into emotional and social themes, particularly the experiences of female figures constrained by societal roles, often in surreal and symbolic landscapes intertwined with nature. Through a visual language shaped by influences such as mythology, Gothic architecture and old-school tattoo culture, she explores themes of romanticism, feminine identity, and emotional entrapment. Symbolic elements such as rabbits, cupids, and solitary figures reflect her critique of societal roles and the inner emotional landscapes shaped by them. Her hand-shaped forms emphasise a direct, tactile relationship with the material and a strong engagement with process, while also revealing her background in design. Maral extends this approach through the use of everyday objects, such as vases, plates, and ashtrays, integrated into her installations. By transforming these familiar items into artistic forms, she elevates the everyday, asking viewers to question their habitual perceptions of the ordinary.  📸 @selinunsel

Yesterday marked a biggie. My first solo show, which I have worked on for a bit and poured all my heart into. I am so touched by the feedback, by all the beautiful people who came yesterday to celebrate it, and I can't wait for more to come, and show! It was an incredible fun and exciting journey with these two pioneer curators @displayfever and @fanshawprojects who made this possible. 🤍 If you haven’t seen it yet, please come by!
