This May 02, Saturday, Diskoteka returns to the circle ⭕️ of RITMO for a special collaboration we call RITMØTEKA, taking over Nokal Manila. Two years in motion. Two years of rhythm, of flow, of a community that moves as one. What started as something intimate has grown into a shared language on the dance floor, built on sound, energy, and the people who keep showing up for it. Get to know Leon (FR), the visionary and creative mind behind Nodes Rec. and Magic Room HK. About Leon (FR): Just like his introvert personality, Leon (FR) made a quiet entrance into the industry allowing his music to be the point of expression and stay the focus of attention, with his club debut in 2010. By romantically combining emotional vibes, groovy baselines and old-school synths, Leon (FR) found a way to establish a connection with his story, during production and performances; all enhanced by the influence of the House and Techno scenes in 2000’s France. By 2013, Leon was ready to leave France for Hong Kong, where he met Mo-Shi and Milam and a friendship was born. Post travel, exploration and learning the ropes of the music industry as a label manager, DJ and producer; Leon (FR) joined forces with his friends and in 2023 they founded Nodes Rec.. a record label comprised of artists who share the same vision of music. An album called « Handle With Care » releasing in March this year. So far the album has received support from Nandu, Bedouin, Robbie Akbal and Chambord. He plays homage to Hong Kong with his first track “Rise” during « Magic Room » a concept founded by Mo-Shi and himself in 2020 as well. About Nodes Rec.: Nodes Rec. is a music label founded in 2023 by Leon (FR), Milam and Mo-shi. It is a music community focused on showcasing the best of Asia to the world. A Node is an intersection, a point in a network, where information and ideas converge. It is a place of connection and sharing. Nodes Rec. is based in Hong Kong - one of the biggest international shipping ports which best represents the label as a place of exchange - a bridge between East and West, and a giant melting pot where ideas can co-mingle, feel at home, and create something entirely new.
