Project: Naotilus
Designer: Po Chung Chen
Cooperator: Further Industries
Light developer: Leiyueh. Co

Naotilus is a lighting design that seamlessly integrates sustainable materials with Oriental aesthetics. Crafted primarily from rPET, a recycled material derived from plastic bottles, it draws inspiration from the structural language of fans and origami, transforming these traditional elements into a contemporary and modern form.
We aim to push the boundaries of sustainable materials, giving Naotilus a highly adaptable and flexible form. Like the nautilus shell in the ocean, it shifts in rhythm and depth as light and perspective change. The foldable structure allows it to transition effortlessly between static and dynamic states, making it not just a light source but also an artistic presence within a space.
From material selection to the manufacturing process, we are committed to reducing environmental impact through circular design, giving recycled plastics a new life. Naotilus is more than just a lamp—it is a vision for the future of living. By striking a balance between sustainability and aesthetics, it allows eco-conscious design to become an intuitive and gentle presence, seamlessly blending into everyday life.

Pixel
Pixel is a screen design that merges a metal framework with recycled leather, blending traditional weaving craftsmanship with digital cutting techniques to create dynamic and versatile visual effects. The contrast between rigid metal and supple leather adds depth and texture, making the screen not only functional but also an artistic focal point in any space.
Inspired by digital pixels, we employ precision digital cutting techniques to shape geometric patterns in leather, allowing Pixel to serve both as a partition and a decorative element. It brings together the aesthetics of technology and craftsmanship, redefining the way materials interact within a space.
For materials, we have selected two types of sustainable recycled leather—rPVB leather (made from reclaimed automotive windshield film) and eco-leather (crafted from recycled leather scraps). By repurposing discarded materials, Pixel breathes new life into waste while embodying our commitment to environmental sustainability. More than just a revitalization of traditional craftsmanship, Pixel is an exploration of material innovation and sustainable design, seamlessly integrating design, technology, and sustainability into everyday living

Project: Minoko
Designer: Po Chung Chen & Chia Chun Chuang
Cooperator: Umami
Light developer: Leiyueh. Co
—
Minoko is a design that combines the functions of a side table and a lamp, seamlessly integrating aesthetics with sustainability. The primary material comes from recycled PET non-woven fabric, enhanced with embroidery techniques to create an optical illusion resembling flowing water when illuminated. This adds depth and dimension to the surface, making the furniture not only visually artistic but also a testament to the endless possibilities of recycled materials.
Inspired by the imagery of a nighttime forest, Minoko is designed to resemble a glowing magical mushroom, casting a soft, ambient light that creates a tranquil yet mysterious atmosphere in any space. Beyond aesthetics, we emphasize the importance of sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly materials and flat-pack concepts into the design. Our goal is to foster a harmonious coexistence between nature and design in everyday life. We believe that design should not only enhance the quality of living but also serve as a voice for the environment, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in every detail.
