Along with director Bieke Depoorter @biekedepoorter (who shot all the imagery for the record) he went looking for the spirit of his late mother Yu in the streets and buildings of Hong Kong.
Lovesongs, the debut album by @loverman.95 , is kinda what the name suggests it is: a collection of songs informed by love in all its different shapes: from heartbreak to capturing the joy and energy you get from communing with your loved ones to simple acts of tenderness that invoke moments of real beauty. While musically it’s reminiscent of household names like Nick Cave and Lee Hazlewood there’s a certain charm at its core that makes it very current (especially paired with the visual world he’s created alongside Daisy Ray).
