‘This EP is essentially a collision between traditional sound and electronic music. It’s about carrying the traces of ancestral rhythm into new spaces — to keep it alive and evolving.’ Moroccan-born producer Reda Senhaji @cheb.runner presents 80K, the second installment in Beat Machine Records' TERRA TEMPO series. A direct tribute to the cultural heritage of the Souss Massa Darâa region, the EP preserves the original skeletal rhythms while reinterpreting them through 808s, sub-bass, and electronic textures. - For her solo exhibition “Sole crushing”, Meriem Bennani stages a monumental orchestra and transforms the Fondation into a vast sound box. Spanning the entire height of the building, the sound installation brings together nearly two hundred flip-flops and tap shoes that play a musical composition by Reda Senhaji (Cheb Runner), somewhere between a symphony and an uprising. Whether as a chorus, or as soloists, in unison or in response to each other, these flip-flops evoke the individuals that make up a moving crowd, whether in a protest, a stadium, or a dakka marrakchia, a traditional Morrocan musical ceremony. The simple, banal clapping of a flip-flop unites the group in a single pulse - that of a force that transcends the individual. 📌 Exposition Meriem Bennani du 22 octobre 2025 au 8 février 2026 (22.10.25 to 8.02.26) ℹ️ Entrée libre, du mercredi au dimanche de 14h à 19h · Free entrance, from Wednesday to Sunday 2pm to 7pm 🔗 Plus d’infos dans le lien en bio · more info in the bio 📷 Aurélien Mole @chloemgde ___________________⁣⁣ #LafayetteAnticipations #ContemporaryArt #Tong #FlipFlop #Claquette #Orchestra #MeriemBennani

🧿AJJIT🪬 Is coming to Amsterdam and we're excited to share this beauty with you. ✨ In collaboration with Reda Senhaji (Cheb Runner) this newborn duo dive into the polyrythms of their shared cultural heritage. From Issawa, Gnawa to Taktoka Jabaliya all forms used to get us in trans in attempt to let all be. Reda introduces these still existing rhythms and sounds to his modular transforming and awakening many dimensions. Khadija El Kharraz Alami attempts in her essayistic way of creating to transform theory into practice. For this creation led by the studies of Silvia Federici, she invites us to awaken our PRE-CAPITALIST bodies. With Khadija's voice and generous way of facilitating together with Reda they combine their force and generate energy for our collective grief to be celebrated. Across Terra Tempo 2, the 808 works from underneath, carrying traditional patterns into a tighter, more grounded form. Rooted in Ahwach, Ahyad and Issmgan (Gnawa), the traditional rhythms move through repetition, breath and collective timing, shaped by bendir, qraqeb, guembri and nakouss, alongside hands, feet and jefna. Reworked by Cheb Runner through electronic processing, the original skeletons remain intact, while their scale, weight and function shift, gaining density and physical impact. Preservation and propulsion: this is where 80K finds its balance.  TERRA TEMPO 2 - 80K by @cheb.runner

Khadija El Kharraz Alami: AJJIT In AJJIT, @khadouzja collaborates 🌻 with musician Reda Senhaji ( @cheb.runner ), blending dance and music through shared North African roots. Drawing on genres like Ahwach, Gnaoua, and Chaabi, they explore rhythm, memory, and complex identity. The work celebrates multiplicity while questioning the role of performance today — asking whether togetherness can help reimagine the body and collective life in times of social and political collapse.

A visual language rooted in Amazigh-Futurism, where rhythm, texture and memory move together. The physical release of 80K by Cheb Runner becomes part of this process, where preservation and transformation coexist. The vinyl – featuring an exclusive remix by Guedra Guedra on Gn-Awa – carries the traces of what came before into a new form. On Bandcamp Friday, Terra Tempo 2 comes together: sound and image working through the same logic of transmission. 80K by @cheb.runner with @guedraguedra vinyl exclusive remix Out June 19 Preorder now your copy on Bandcamp. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 Impulsive as Cheb Runner tends to be, he has a soft spot for spontaneous gatherings, or rwina’s as he like to describe it. When we found out Guedra Guedra was around, it felt only natural to bring out the turntables and unable a moment where their shared joy in digging, playing and teasing could unfold. Usually moving through Marrakech, the red city, both a magnet for tourism and a layered landscape of lived culture and opposed heritage, or exoticism, Guedra Guedra has built a reputation as a key conduit for Western based artists, often quite literally opening rooftops for sounds to travel across (parts of) the city. This time, we take on that role: hosting him here, and introducing him to our crowd. Expect a dialogue of 6/8 rhythms, unfolding in waves, moving back and forth. [𝘗𝘴. 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵.] And as we got your attention: 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘀
Last time sold out, DM to reserve.

Friday needs couscous, and couscous needs Jem3a, so we invited her to give this undervalued tradition a new home at moezeumcafe. This time, no instant couscous, because couscous demands time and love, and Latifa is happy to pour both into it.

Cheb Runner moves through in-between sonic landscapes, blending analog and digital worlds, while KEY91 brings driving, ritualistic rhythms rooted in techno and North African percussion. Max Frimout joins from a place somewhere between engineering, sound, and movement, following the strange relationship between music, bodies, and systems.
Together, they do what modular people do best: repeat, drift, get lost, start again. Somewhere between control and letting go, things might slowly slide into a collective trance or just stay beautifully unresolved. The public is invited to join the jam.

Bring your own modulars, instruments, cables, frustrations, or unopened letters from the tax office. Everything can be plugged in, processed, or left to resonate. Or don’t sit back, watch, and let the sound do the work.
In times when everything feels slightly off, this is an invitation to tune into something else for a moment. After the session, @moezeum exhibition ‘Het Aanslag Loket’ opens, with performances, food, and drinks. See you there 🌪️ Credits video (1) Salma Hassan Credits video (2) Reda Senhaji
