Update from Nara, mother of 2 and our disabled Pal friend with multiple sclerosis, pancreatic cancer, and epilepsy:
I recently went to see a surgeon about the growth on my back.
Unfortunately, the doctor had no equipment to examine me. He told me it might be a sebaceous cyst. I hope he knows best.
The journey was indescribably tiring. I had a seizure after I got home from standing so much in the sun, and I felt very dizzy.
Lucky are those who ride in a car to get to the hospital. It's better than riding in the back of a cart. I went there in a horse-drawn cart, but I came back home in a car.
According to the WHO, rebuilding the health sector in the Strip requires $10 billion. More than 1,800 health facilities have been de-stroyed.
It is truly heartbreaking. We know this without reading the news; the situation is plain to see in the hospitals.
Patients are on the floor everywhere. There are no chairs, nothing to sit on, and everyone is sick and exhausted.
There are no toilets, no hygiene, and the smell of blood is unbearable.
My health gets worse every day. My stomach is suffering from all the medication.
I am supposed to take one Imigran tablet for my migraines per week. Unfortunately, I now need to take three tablets a day.
Our country will never be the same. We will never find peace in our lives. There is rubble everywhere. Mosquitoes and fleas are eating us alive.
I often reflect on the suffering we endure these days. You all have truly eased much of the oppression and injustice we experience. A heartfelt thank you to every supporter, even those who wish they could help but can't. I pray for every supporter whose name I see in the camp-pain. You don't know my children or me, yet you send your own money. I pray that God grants all your wishes.
How pure and compassionate your hearts are!
I truly love you all.

Latest update from Nara, mother of 2 and our disabled Pal friend with multiple sclerosis, pancreatic cancer, and epilepsy:
"My medicine continues to be scarce and expensive. Many doctors -- including the ones I depend on for my health -- have fled the country.
My child, Jenan - the child who was gentle before this wohr and had never known the cruelty of the world we live in now - asks me: "Will the situation last longer than this, Mama?"
I tell her it will end soon, even though I personally do not know when.
Before the wohr, Jenan had just started school for about a month and a half. She was very happy with her school uniform and books.
Today, she cannot read or write. I am trying with her, but my health condition is still an obstacle.
I hoped she would live a beautiful life and fulfill all her dreams.
But in these years she saw what no one could have imagined.
We live without electricity, clean water, or healthy food, and if it comes from time to time, its price is very high. Jenan doesn't get to go to playgrounds. She plays in the rubble.
When she first heard that we would live in tents, she thought they were like in cartoon movies, colorful tents inhabited by beautiful princesses.
She did not know that they were wornout tents - erected on dirty sand full of insects - that do not protect against cold or hot weather.
She did not know that she would be drinking highly contaminated water and that the bread she ate contained worms I had tried to conceal.
She had so many insect bites. She doesn't know that I trick her and tell her each bite is from a butterfly that kisses every beautiful girl. Her mind is too young to comprehend all of this, yet she accompanies me through all my pain, headaches, and epilepsy.
She still asks me to this day when we will go to an amusement park.
I feel like I'm flogging myself from the inside, and I ask: "What is my children's fault for my illness, my fatigue, and everything we're going through?"

READ: What mainstream news isn't reporting about food, water, and healthcare in Gahza...
Latest update from Nara, mother of 2 and our disabled Pal friend with multiple sclerosis, pancreatic cancer, and epilepsy:
"You won't hear this in the news, but we are facing a "soft" siege and a new method of slow killing us all in the Gahza Strip.
We are counting on you to feed our children and access healthcare.
Please support my family of 4, including two young children, at tinyurl.com/disablednara
The ETA Water company has been informed to stop pumping desalinated water to our camps.
On top of that, international organizations are:
Cutting back on projects dedicated to providing drinking water
Halving bread production essential for all Gahza residents
Threatened by the aw-kew-pay-shen to stop providing healthcare in the Strip.
Unfortunately, we continue to face mismanagement and the lack of a central authority to address our problems.
This, along with what little remains of our humanity and dignity, means we are facing a new siege. [1]
Please don't forget us, even if we lose internet connection and more services.
Honestly, I feel like I'm living without purpose, energy, or appetite.
I even searched online recently: "Can medications cause severe depression?"
I bought some medications after researching them.
Fortunately, I also managed to find 1,000mg Keppra, my epilepsy medication, thanks to your support.
I love you all so much, you who have been our support.
I hope that what you do for me and my family will be repaid in kind, and even more so.
Please continue to stand with us by contributing to our survival at tinyurl.com/disablednara
From the river to the sea,
Nara and family."

Update from Nara, mother of 2 & our disabled Pal friend with MS, pancreatic cancer, & epilepsy:
Prices are high again in Gahza, & no medicine is getting in.
As for fruits and vegetables, they're very expensive.
I've been feeling extremely stiff all over my body, & I'm tired and depressed from the monotonous routine.
Recently, when the rain stopped, I went for a walk with my sister to get some fresh air.
Halfway through, I couldn't go on and got a terrible, painful MS hug.
I lay my head on my pillow, mind racing about my family, my illness, how to get treatment, or my expensive medication that I'm supposed to receive for free.
I'm trying to find it in every pharmacy at my own expense. I have to do it so I don't lose control of my nerves. So I can do the simplest things for my family.
We don't know what to stock up on here: medicine, food, clothes, comfort, or what?
I confess without shame because this is truly what's happening to me.
We live thanks to the support of our kind-hearted donors.
When I buy anything, I secretly pray that your souls may be at peace & your hopes may be fulfilled.
I feel so sad for my family, especially my two children.
I know my illness isn't my fault, but I wish I could do everything for them.
On the last day of Eid al-Fitr, everyone tried to cheer themselves up, even if we were just fooling ourselves.
Do you know how heartbreaking the children’s faces were?
They were all trying to wear new clothes & go to the restaurant together, but the awkewpayshen didn't like that. The airtacks continued.
My sister's family was at a restaurant when an apartment next to it was bormbed. People started running for their lives.
Why we humans can't live together in peace & love, far from wohrs, fighting, & conflicts!
What is the fault of those who didn't create all this? Why must we be condemned to live in a prison?
Help us make the most of what little "life" we have left under jenna-side at tinyurl.com/disablednara

Congresswoman Rashida Traib's House Resolution Standing with the People of Lebanon Against the Illegal Invasion, War Crimes, and Ethnic Cleansing Perpetrated by the State of Israel calls on the United States to use its immense leverage to force an end to the Israeli military invasion, reject threats of territorial expansion and the illegal occupation of Lebanese territory, investigate and prosecute war crimes, end U.S. support and participation in this invasion, deliver unconditional humanitarian and reconstruction aid, extend Temporary Protected Status for Lebanese nationals in the United States, and support the safe and inalienable right of return of all displaced Lebanese to their homes.
The Lebanon War Powers Resolution, co-led by Congresswoman Delia Ramirez (IL-03), orders the removal of all U.S. Armed Forces’ participation in unauthorized hostilities in Lebanon, including involvement in targeting assistance and intelligence sharing for the Israeli airstrikes and ground invasion.
We endorse these two resolutions, and we call all members of the United States Congress to support them.

Living with a disability in Gaza means facing barriers that most cannot imagine. No wheelchairs, no accessible paths, no specialized care. Just makeshift tents, uneven ground, and a healthcare system that has collapsed.
On March 19th, The Sameer Project distributed 120 boxes of Eid sweets to families in Masha’el Al-Amal Camp - a camp with many vulnerable families with disabled members. 98 boxes went to camp residents, and 22 additional boxes were given to families in the most difficult circumstances.
For people with disabilities in Gaza, every day is a struggle for dignity and survival. Your support allows us to reach them with essential aid and moments of joy.
The distribution cost $2,565 including 11% commission. Donate to our Food & Water Campaign to continue supporting the most vulnerable.
Last month, we delivered 28 tents for Gaza's blind and their families. They were purchased with your contributions, and distributed by the Gaza Forum for the visually impaired.
Help us get more tents, for the thousands still waiting for a place to sleep and keep their belongings dry. Please copy-paste the following link: chuffed.org/project/159713-urgent-help-the-blind-community-in-gaza-get-safe-shelter.
For every $300 we raise, one family gets a tent.
Thank you.

Slide 2
Title says "Action Needed". Below that is white text which reads, "Following yesterday's update that Umer was unable to stand or walk due to his treatment in prison alongside his medical condition, Limb Gurdle Muscular Dystrophy, today reached a critical point of physical and moral concern.
Stripped of his independence, and denied essential mobility equipment, Umer had to be carried to the healthcare wing by two other prisoners.
Forcing a person with a degenerative disability to rely on the manual labour of fellow inmates rather than providing professional medical support is a profound violation of his personal dignity and his right to humane treatment.
There are some things we urge you to do to help him..."

Khalil Dardouna, a 45 year-old father of 5, recalls the night that changed his life: “On November 18, 2023, the bombing was relentless. From the Maghrib prayer until seven in the morning, explosions shook the place. After long hours of shelling, there was a brief lull. We thought things calmed down, so we went out to help with the rescue work. But suddenly, tanks started shelling the civilians, and a shell fell right next to me… I lost consciousness."
Khalil suffered shrapnel wounds and burns, and his right leg was amputated.
But his suffering did not end. Four days after, occupation soldiers stormed the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza. Khalil recounts: "They took my eye print. They were investigating patients and their companions, and afterwards all doctors, nurses and medicine disappeared... We were wounded without treatment."
The shock was so severe that his memory disappeared for three whole months. His family was around him, but he couldn't recognize any of them. "They put my little son on my lap, but I couldn't recognize him."
Last July, Khalil had to flee again, from Jabalia to Gaza beach, where he now lives inside a small tent. Like everyone in Gaza, he has faced famine: "During the first famine, I felt like I was dying every day, not only because of the lack of food, but also because I was in constant pain, without medicines.” To this day, Dardouna is waiting for a medical referral for treatment abroad, hoping to be fitted with a prosthetic limb that may help him regain some of his former life.
