We announce, with gratitude that Umer’s thirst and hunger strike has come to an end, not in surrender, but in victory. Through patience, courage, and unwavering conviction, Umer refused silence in the face of oppression. His stand has been heard. The prison has entered negotiations and his demands have been recognised, a clear testament that resistance rooted in justice bears fruit. This moment affirms that the spirit cannot be imprisoned, and that life, dignity, and faith prevail over cruelty and neglect. We thank all those who stood in solidarity, whose voices, duaa, and presence strengthened this struggle. Yet the struggle is not over. Umer’s health remains fragile after prolonged deprivation. Justice now demands compassionate bail, so that he can recover, be cared for, and regain strength in dignity and safety. We call upon those in authority to act with conscience and humanity.
