Featured in Hard Palate — a zine curated by tara_pockets_foley , featuring 13 artists and an accompanying exhibition at Creative Legion in Hudson, NY.
“The hard palate is where breath meets resistance — where sound gathers before becoming voice,” Tara writes. “I was drawn to artists who make that same transformation visible, turning internal experience into something we can touch, see, and share.”
From fiber to metal, gold leaf to pigment and collage, Hard Palate forms a chorus of material voices — each asking us to listen differently.

Cover design for The Blaxploitation Sessions, a Scienz of Life project inspired by 1970s Blaxploitation films and aesthetics.
I’m not sure how I originally connected with the Shaman Work crew, but they were releasing thoughtful, powerful music and were great to collaborate with. This project was mostly self-produced, with an early track by the now-legendary @flyinglotus . For the uninitiated: @scienzoflife came up via @koolboblove Fondle ’Em Records and show up on MF Doom’s King Geedorah. Legends.
Grateful to @johnrobinsonmusic and @inviziblehandz for the opportunity. I remember John questioning the inclusion of a gun in the collage—he said, “Unless there’s a reason, maybe take it out.” That stayed with me.
