First of all, F@CK !CE.
Also, I shot my film, y’all. We wrapped like a month ago and I’m just now sharing about it here on the socials cuz…what I didn’t expect was how much I needed to just *sit down* after all the smoke cleared.
Not analysis paralysis. I’ve been there. This is not that. We’re moving and grooving in post-production. Things are happening.
I just needed to come down from the highest high. When you feel the hand of a higher power in combination with many human hands and hearts sweating and bleeding to birth something you dreamt up so many moons ago. It’s an out of body experience.
Also the timing was such that I had 7 shoots in 6 weeks - with this, my film, my baby happening smack dab in the middle of all of them. Followed by camping. Followed by multiple visits to the ER for my precious bonus daughter (she’s ok!). Storms, blackouts, celebrations, new hobbies, the change of seasons…
It’s beyond gratitude. Beyond exhaustion. And both of these things. There is no place I’d rather be.
