Through a new partnership between #UMSV and #GreatPointStudios, a dynamic film program is bringing the sound and the stage to eager learners right here in the Bronx, Yonkers, and beyond. Starting this Fall, students can earn an associate degree with a concentration in film production while gaining hands-on experience with the latest in film technology and real production stages—working on everything from set design to post-production.
This is where creativity meets industry access—and where the next generation of storytellers gets its start.

Yonkers’ film industry continues to drive economic activity across the City. 🎬
A new economic impact report by Camoin Associates shows film and television production in Yonkers is generating approximately $46 million in sales and nearly $12 million in earnings, supporting businesses and jobs throughout the community.
When productions film in Yonkers, restaurants see more customers, hardware stores supply materials for sets, transportation companies move equipment and crews, and property owners generate rental income from locations.
