Spring has sprung, the clocks have turned forward, and the future of the past is fast approaching. It is time for the RETRO-FUTURE REVUE 2026!
On the stage where iconic musicians like Jerry Garcia, Santana, and Jefferson Airplane entertained hundreds of thousands of San Franciscans in years past, something new is bubbling up. This free concert will take place Saturday May 16th, 2-6pm and will feature 4 Bay Area bands that exemplify the diversity of San Francisco’s vibrant music scene.
The third year of the Retro-Future Revue will be the biggest yet, with heavy hitters Lazer Beam, Miss Hits, Mitch Rocket, and Dinner Date gracing the stage at the Golden Gate Park Bandshell. The music will range from delicate indie pop to heavy desert rock, from jazzy complexity to sleek simplicity. All the decades of San Francisco’s musical past will be in attendance. Will you?
Food trucks will be on site to provide lunch. Bring drinks, snacks, kids, parents, dogs, and the whole family! And should you desire, come dressed as a shiny chrome vision of a future that could have been. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

@psychedfest and @psychedradiosf take over the @4startheater on Sunday November 2 with a night that bridges cult songwriting, experimental textures, and cinematic psych. @kelleystoltz one of San Francisco’s most beloved underground songwriters, headlines with his kaleidoscopic catalog spanning jangly power-pop, post-punk cool, and psychedelic twists. With records released on Sub Pop, Castle Face, and Third Man, Stoltz’s prolific output has earned comparisons to Bowie and Television while remaining distinctly his own—intimate, wry, and sonically adventurous.@progfrogband dive into sprawling progressive psych with shifting rhythms and kaleidoscopic instrumental jams that feel like they’ve leapt straight from the golden age of Canterbury prog. @laboratoriosmorenomusica from Mexico bring Latin psych-soul grooves rooted in swirling percussion, cosmic guitar lines, and vocals that slide between dreamy and ecstatic. Opening the evening, @dinnerdateband serves up lo-fi indie psych filled with fragile melodies, raw edges, and unexpected hooks that set the tone for an unpredictable night. The historic 4 Star Theatre provides the perfect backdrop, its vintage cinematic atmosphere amplifying the hallucinatory swirl of sound and visuals.
