The year of bits was wild. Lots happened both internally and externally (mainly internally) but currently feeling very grateful for all the people that made this year one of the most meaningful and rewarding (again mainly internally). But at least I’ve got these (external) photos to show for it.
Friday marked the release @thechosenadventures on Amazon Prime! The first show I’ve ever had the privilege of writing on and an amazing experience which has been incredibly rewarding. So grateful for the entire team behind the show and especially @ryanswanson_ig for believing in a Jewish dark comedy writer to work on a Christian children’s show. This week I hosted a screening for some friends and it was truly a dream to have a bunch of LA degenerates in their late 20’s watch a children’s show. I was so excited the only photo I got was a blurry mess but I’ll remember that night for ever. Very proud of this show and so fortunate that I could play a small role in helping bring it to life. Lots of firsts this year. First time officiating a wedding, first wrestlemania, first time being a teacher, first film festivals, first time getting maced, first tv writing job, first time breaking a bone, and most importantly first time going to the Nathan’s 4th of July hot dog eating contest.
Had a blast at @mlfilmfest with my brotha and the brain behind Jimmy Boden @cdpickering . Met a ton of great people and saw lots of incredible movies. Hoping they’ll have us back every year from now on.
Tonight’s the @slamogram premier of Christopher Pickering’s film Jimmy Boden. In the fall of 2020 Chris came to me with the idea for this movie, and I said I was down. He asked me to get naked and I was down. He asked me to shave my head and I was down. Its because I had faith in Chris and the rest of the incredible crew. Now I’m in Park city with my brothers @cdpickering@jstaudenmaier@coal_sanch@mattshaffar@nathanxia@joesandersmusic . If you’re in the area come check us out. So many extremely talented people worked on this movie and I’m so grateful incould play a part. It’s a good reminder to keep going. Countless people told me I was stupid for shaving my head for a short film. But here we are! Suck on dem apples.
