Last weekend I had the pleasure of doing an art experience for @nikerunning @nike @runnersroostboulder • I created and painted a custom 6’ Nike Dragonfly XC shoe and had kids from local schools come through and give it some paint while getting geared up for this season. Painted a pair of shoes and a bunch of bags to give away as well throughout the day. The shoe is now hanging in the front of the Runners Roost in Boulder! Go drive by! Really excited to finally start sharing this one. I’ve officially partnered up with Runners Roost on an ongoing art/store collaboration and we already have a lot in motion. The plan is to continue building out the relationship over time through murals, installations, custom pieces, events, and community driven projects both inside and outside of the shop. We’ll be creating another exterior mural, while also slowly transforming parts of the inside of the store with artwork, custom shoes, recycled materials, hanging pieces, and rotating installations throughout the space. I’ll also have a dedicated area in the shop to display custom shoes, sculptures, experiments, and one-off work as things continue to grow. A huge focus of this project is recycling and reuse. Old running shoes, sports gear, and materials that would normally get thrown away are going to be repurposed into artwork and given a second life. As we move toward fall, we’ll also be putting together an auction featuring larger pieces created through the project, with proceeds helping support my “Brick by Brick” initiative and other local community focused work. This is definitely only the beginning of what we’re building together. If you’ve got old running shoes, athletic gear, materials, or random objects you think could become art, bring them by the shop or send me a message. I’d love to keep building this out with the community involved. ♻️

I’ve been shooting infrared photography almost primarily as of recently. As a photographer and multidisciplinary artist it’s important to always try new things. Keep it fresh and find the joy and love in the process or processes with your works. This has given me a new life in the 15 years of photography from me. These photos are a mix of 470nm and 720nm filters. The red/pink photos are produced to mimic the early Kodak Aerochrome infrared film. It is a mix of infrared and visible light. The darker photos are taken at 720nm. Basically the very limited of visible light. Infrared light is reflected from plants giving it a tremendous look. The plants don’t utilized IR light in photosynthesis. So in turn they reject it “reflect it” and that’s why I had such a dramatic look. The camera is picking all those reflection up. And to us it’s just an interesting and out of this world visual. Truly addictive. #infraredphotography #denverphotographer #denverartist

“Solstice” My latest mural project is finished up. “Interior & Exterior” Was my first project back since shattering my ankle in July… could say I needed it.. It was not without struggle though. I could only survive 4 hours a days before my ankle would swell and get aggravated. By the end of it, I was no longer wearing my boot, could work a bit longer and was healing well. All that being said… I am so happy with how this turned out. From initial conversations and ideas to conceptualizing the final mock up.
