This is the fifth result, carefully selected and constructed by Debbie Huisman. Her mix is more dancefloor orientated and accidentally almost every track she selected was produced in the east of The Netherlands, where she used to live. In her project Digital High Lab she produces sound and choreography and connects subjects of life. Because of her movers mindset, she works intuitively with different structures and shapes, and when DJ'ing, she is mentally dancing, storytelling through sound - creating layers, like a collage. Debbie loves many artforms and thinks it is necessary to express ourselves to (re)connect. Debbie Huisman: "I enjoy telling stories and that's also how I mix tracks in a set. In this selection I wanted to incorporate experiment, while at the same time making it danceable and emotional. Discovering artists like Maga was so cool, I would have liked to use even more of his tracks. On the sly I also used quite a lot of tracks from the @nieuweelectronischewaar compilations." Label owner @harcorutgers : "I decided to ask several people to dig deep into the vast Esc.rec catalogue and make a mix of their favourite tracks. Under the project “Digital High Lab” she produces music and dance as a translation of her experiences of life and connects different art disciplines. "I designed this piece with the idea to connect theatre and club, a no-nonsense piece that also gets back the essence of sound. As the creator, I wanted to dive fully in production - sound and choreography - and chose @ninastoter and @sirenix93 to translate this piece in their own way through their bodies. The concept has many layers, but one thing that's for me the most important is the fact that it is so important to listen to your own nature, even when you feel stuck, listen to your body and take care of your brain. Debbie operates in between sound and movement and connects these elements in her own authentic ways. Under the project /label Digital High Lab she produces dance and music as translation of her experiences of life and connects different art disciplines.  Recently she made a new choreography and soundwork called “EMDRAM” - A movement/sound duet which sketches a trip through the nervous system with all kinds of layers.  Debbie works from the essence of sound and what this does to the brain and body. She finds it important to listen to your own nature and in her work she also encourages other people to do this.  You can describe her work as intuitive, experimental and playful.  Single release - Breakscape 🍃 A blend of nature, trippy elements and danceable textures. Debbie made Breakscape as part of the larger sound scape from “EMDRAM” and decided to tweak “Breakscape” into a propulsive, breaky track that surprises the mind. Flowy yet energetic. May it bring you softness and fire at the same time. EMDRAM | This is no trick // Sound Hereby I share the sound that I composed for my new piece “EMDRAM”. A piece what represents a trip through the nervous system - Releasing the brain & getting more in the body to find your own nature 🍃 Herefor I used excisting pieces & I produced a part myself. The beginning is a loop from Eefje de Visser & Nuno dos Santos, Wit Blad. I produced the breakbeat myself and it’s called “Breakscape”. Further I used pieces from Sam Brickel, Oma Totem & Josh Wink. It was incredible to hear this on a big soundsystem together w the choreography.
