So we are kind of rebranding without creating a third Dig Dug Dig related IG account. As you can tell, everything posted on here isn’t Dig Dug Dig fest related. So now it’s Dig Dug Dig Productions. Don’t really need to elaborate much more on that. Dig Dug Dig has had the honor of being able to partner with some of the best venues in DC: @pennsocialdc @citystatedc @dcbrau @metrobardc @lostgenbrewing @bryantstmarket and this is just the beginning. As we embark on our next adventure with @cityrenewables and @themoonagedaydreamvenue (Washington DC’s first music and arts venue powered by solar), it was necessary to give a shoutout to everyone we’ve worked with. City Renewables and Dig Dug Dig Productions have a lot of ideas to bring the local music and arts scene together. It’s a small and intimate venue with BIG ideas. However, we can host events anywhere because we use solar power for our energy consumption. We’re looking for partners and sponsors. We are pumped for the debut DIVINYL event happening this Saturday in Washington DC @citystatedc DIVINYL is a record store pop-up series happening only at City-State (705 Edgewood St. NE, WDC). Washington DC has a new record store pop-up series debuting over at City-State on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1-5pm in NE DC along the Metropolitan Branch Trail just minutes away from the Rhode Island Ave. metro station on the Red Line. It’s truly an honor to have @hrrecords as the very first record store to be part of this pop-up series at City-State. You might know Home Rule Records from the Kamala Harris vinyl record meme or from their phenomenal @hrmusicfest event that happens over at @theparksdc If you aren’t in the know, what you should know is that HR Records is a Brick and Mortar shop in Uptown Washington, DC. They specialize by providing the very best in used Jazz, Soul, Funk, R&B, Go-Go, Hip-Hop, International, and more. And, they’re always there to serve you. This first event in April will feature HR Records Popup sale (Brews, Beats and Rare Finds) and a live performance from @room_48band closing this spectacular event out with a bang from 4-5pm. This is a free event and it’s open to all ages. City-State will be slinging pints for $8.50 and half pints for $5.50 all throughout the event. Save the date (4/25/26) and bring all your friends. @cityrenewables presents: …the lineup for the official launch of The Moonage Daydream - Washington DC’s newest music and arts venue. But, calling it that doesn’t really do it much justice. We’ve got lots of plans in the works to bring the local DC music scene together and you’ll be the first to hear about it here. On Sat, May 23, 2026, Mabel June @juneyballoony3000 will be headlining the official launch of DC’s first venue powered by solar. If you aren’t familiar with Mabel June, chances are you’ve seen @birthdaygirldc.official at @blackcatdc and other legendary DC music institutions. Mabel June is an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Washington DC. She is in the trio Birthday Girl DC, and recently released her first solo project, an album titled ‘Mumbled Songs’. Frederick, Maryland, based @mehkar.e will be opening. Mehkare Skye Merson is an indie songwriter whose music blends ukulele-driven indie folk with dreamy synth textures. Inspired by early-2000s indie, her songs explore themes of self inspection and trauma through sharp, ultra-specific lyricism. She has built a niche audience through YouTube and SoundCloud stemming from a sample of her song “Prima Ballerina” in the lo-fi track “Drowning,” which has surpassed 10 million streams. After Mabel June’s performance, NIKO of DC music darlings BOTTLED UP will be bringing everybody together with a dj set. Niko is a DC DJ and artist blending mutant disco, new wave, and south asian grooves. Longtime local crate-digger and multi-instrumentalist in many DC bands, he will be bringing an eclectic, community-focused sound to The Moonage Daydream. Let’s dig together 🙌

Hi! How’s your DC Spring going so far? Did you get your Cherry Blossom fix? Lots of exciting music festivals are popping up all over the place. We’ll be posting events over at @digdugdighearts Ofc, the events won’t be exclusively Dig Dug Dig related. But, speaking of D3, so thrilled to announce some upcoming projects we are working on for you all! Sat, April 25th 💥 we’ll be at @citystatedc celebrating the debut DIVINYL event. DIVINYL is a record store popup that’s hosted only at City-State. We are ecstatic to have @hrrecords as the first record store to be part of the series. Sat, May 2nd 💥 Washington DC will have a new music and arts venue in the Eckington/NoMa area called The Moonage Daydream (yes, named after a Bowie song). This event is the teaser show. But, the lineup is stacked! We’ve got @janelleppin headlining @heather.stebbins is opening and @sire.u will be bringing the party to the dance floor w/ a phenomenal dj set. “…Cellist, singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Janel Leppin is known for her experimental and textural blend of jazz, Indian and Persian classical music, folk, and indie rock.” When Leppin isn’t performing solo, you can find her on stage under the moniker Janel and Anthony. Sat, May 23rd 💥 D3 will return to The Moonage Daydream for the official launch of the venue. Lineup TBA soon! Sat, June 20th 💥 @dcbrau will be hosting the inaugural @telepathicwindows festival with a bunch of Shoegaze and Dream Pop bands from up and down the East Coast and ofc, from the DC area. About DC Brau Not too long ago, our nation’s capital was a world-class beer town without a brewery to call its own. Since Christian Heurich had closed the doors to his brewery in the 1950s, Washington DC had no brewery whose products were available in local stores and on tap outside its site of production. There were brewpubs, yes, but no breweries. Enter Brandon Skall and Jeff Hancock. Starting in 2009, the two of them went about filling the glaring void in the local beer market. Two years later, on Tax Day 2011, DC Brau Brewing Company officially tapped its first keg of beer entirely brewed, packaged and sold within the District of Columbia.
