For first-time attendees: the front left lot is reserved for Exotics. All other parking is first come, first served. Swipe for the event map.

On Kent Island, Maryland, surrounded by commercial buildings, sits one of Maryland’s best culinary surprises: @barkbbq . And surprise is exactly how Bark’s owner, Berj Ghazarian, discovered Texas barbecue.
Berj hails from a family of strong culinary tradition. His parents are from Armenia by way of Italy, where they operated gelaterias. They relocated to the DC area and continued their food endeavors, but Berj decided to break from the family business to study government at George Washington University.
While at college, however, he flew to Texas with his Texan roommate, where the two wandered in to @saltlickbbq . Berj was blown away. He immediately called his father to share his discovery.
After more bbq trips to Texas and many nights cooking, Berj finally felt confident enough to do popups. The popups were so successful that he decided to make a full time run at it. His family operated food-related businesses on Kent Island, so he opened up next door.
So while at first Bark’s location seems almost out of place, it’s actually exactly where it should be: right alongside his family.

Featured here, their pork belly gets lathered up in Chef Berj Ghazarian’s signature garlic toum, seasoned to perfection, and smoked in a Moberg smoker for 12 hours all to create a delicious bark.
On a sesame bun, adorned with peach hoisin sauce, pickled carrots and cucumbers, fresh herbs, and fried shallots, this bite is too good to resist.
