RALEIGH FRIDAY ~ 5/1 POST BY: @freqfact 🔊🏭 THIS ONE’S FOR THE UNDERGROUND, RALEIGH! We’re thrilled to host this tour stop for @pharmadubs ’ USA debut and @oldgoldinfinity ’s NC debut this May. OldGold, hailing from Austin, TX, is a seasoned artist in the dubstep scene and label head for @silentmotionrec , a force that has created massive impact on dubstep music across the States. Years of touring and industry expertise as a DJ, producer, and promoter precede him. Pharma is hopping the pond from Austria to deliver an infrasonic experience — a dubstep artist supplying the community with tracks spanning rhythm-focused, percussive tunes, heavy wobblers, and everything in between. This will be Pharma’s very first time in the US, and this is his debut show here. We can’t think of a better way to present this than with our favorite local sound system, @diffuseaudio . On the homestate side, we have local support holding it down in their own rights: @v37ch (Vetch) from Charlotte, a staple in the NC dubstep scene known for his Subtle radio mixes and frequent performances. @chief_dubz from Chapel Hill brings tasteful, curated dubstep with years of knowledge and experience… remember last March with Innamind? And our own @phist919 from Raleigh will be showcasing an exclusive dub- and roots-focused set to start the night off, shining light on the true origins of dubstep itself. This event will have no shortage of sound and energy. 03.10.26 • There Is Beauty In Deep Rolling Basslines 🌌 Saturday Night was — Electronic Energy ⚡️ Thank you so much to my friend @sunnysideupone for snapping some photos for the people on Saturday Night! 📸 He came all the way down from Virginia for our event because as he told it to me, he saw the event flyer with my name @etharixdnb and @dyskosapyen on it and he knew he had to come. So, what did he do? He grabbed his camera, some money, and hopped in his car to drive down 🥹🫶🏼 I know that I am so appreciative of the fact that Brandon came down for this event because it was in fact my first genuine live set outside of Open Decks and Sub Rosa, not to mention it was my first support set. I also hadn’t seen him since at least 2023! He doesn’t make it down here too often. Adulting keeps us all busy sometimes. This was a unique experience, and he was so happy and excited to see me play that night that he came up to me afterwards and he said to me, “Thank you so much! That is exactly what I needed. I really appreciate that. I loved your set, it was really great. This is exactly why I came. For You.” 😭😭😭😭 My heart was so full as soon as he said that to me. A lot of people came out and he observed a lot, so he told me what he saw, noticed, heard, and observed while everyone was listening to me play my set, dancing to my set, and watching me play my set. Needless to say his insight seems to be quite positive and the feedback I have received so far has also been positive. Of course I made some small mistakes but, I was quick to correct them. I have learned from this. I will carry the lessons from this on with me and begin playing Open Decks again now that I am well into my recovery from Septic Shock. Thank you to everyone who has shown me kindness, love, and support. I genuinely appreciate all of your support. I will continue to work on improving and progressing in live mixing with my sets. I know that there is a difference between playing at home in my studio and playing at a venue indoors or outdoors.
