I had a life changing spring a few years ago. It was my first as a single mother and for whatever reason, everything around me felt so... alive. The grass was greener, the flowers more fragrant than I had ever noticed. It felt like I was experiencing earth through glasses meant for my eyes- no cracks or layer of depression to strain through. Everything was vibrant and hopeful. I haven't had a spring quite like that since, however, I have carried a quiet adoration for the season and perfume has helped me learn the cadence of it all. When daffodils bloom, when the iris buds start to open, when the magnolia tree transitions from pod to flower. I used to run my hand over every flower bed but now I find myself shoving my nose into every pollen filled center. The smell of a storm before a drop even hits the ground. The smell after heavy rain, dense air turning quiet florals into bold. Spring is the season of renewal. To be revived. Its a burst of color when you need it most. And I'm really glad I've found my way into appreciating all of it. -- Summer and winter are still two seasons I'm trying to romanticize. I'm learning to love them and find glimmers in their characteristics but Autumn (will always) have me mind, body and spirit. Maybe it's because I'm an October baby. Or because I appreciate shedding what no longer serves. Or the aesthetic that inevitably falls within that time frame. Its my soul season. But Spring, and my newfound love for it, feels like hope returning. And for that I'm grateful. -- From Iris to Lily to hunting down Spring appropriate incense, I think I will carry this season into summer as far as sampling goes. I tend to fixate on a theme or note and explore that way. I wouldn't call myself a floral lover but then Spring comes along and I realize I've just been looking through the wrong lense. These have been a few fragrances that sing during these colder spring days... Tema: i giorni londinesi al Pop up Perfumery.
Quello che mi ha colpito di più. Riassunto:
(se fossi la “me-stessa” di 30 anni fa scriverei così se dovessi fare un tema sull’esperienza)
 Aspettavo molto questo evento ed ero emozionata come al concerto della rock star preferita che presenta il suo nuovo disco… 
Cominciando da una cara e “vecchia conoscenza” ho apprezzato molto le novità e la selezione di Brooke💜 di @sainte.cellier di cui segue il mio elenco di gioie olfattive:

- @miskeoparfums 🦋 di cui ho preso il discovery-Les elements(to be continued) e ho acquistato il bellissimo “Alegorie de l’eté” (della collezione Rococo) che parla di estate, ghiaccioli al mare e spensieratezza (elicriso-chinotto e fieno!)
- @iroiseparfumerie 🧤descritta da Brooke come la nuova Giacobetti (😍), di cui ho amato il tocco elegantissimo e orginalmente fiorito di “Notes from the seed vault” (amaranto-carota-ambretta)
- @serviette.nyc , 🫥super coraggioso (da studiare un po di più )
- @aromag_parfums , 💕un brand di Shangai che mi ha fatto sobbalzare le narici con il suo Wild Garlic (firmato Domenique Ropion…) che si è catapultato nella mia wish list come il singolo dell’estate obbligatorio da avere.
 
Proseguendo la visita sono stata colpita dalle composizioni di Alessandra 🧚‍♀️(@diffractive_studio ) che mi ha fatto apprezzare la sua poesia olfattiva “fuffosa” e adorabile intorno a un felino con Black cat (muschiato astratto e confortevole) e di cui attendo il suo profumo al lillà…(👀 mi raccomando!)

Finalmente ho poi sentito i lavori di 🪁@mabelle_orama , il cui muschiatissimo e bianchissimo Lunar Dust mi ha fatto ricredere sui profumi “skin scent”….

Tutto questo cammino olfattivo si è concluso con una bellissima gita a Kew Gardens dove le magnolie e i narcisi erano in totale e sfacciata esplosione.

Another absolutely GORGEOUS morning with our favey @diffractive_studio exploring perfume and making our own jasmine accords 😭✨💕💅🏽☀️🌱💚⛓️

Black Cat by Diffractive Studio 🐈‍⬛️ I couldn't get a picture of our actual black cat, Lumifer, as she ends up looking like a shadow blob since she has no ears. So here's the fragrance next to Baby Kitten ✨️ Black Cat is the perfect fragrance for when you're feeling peculiar. A frisky cat fur accord smoothed down by an airy helping of vanilla and musk. It's the fur standing up on your back, pet back down. The shadow lurking beneath the shadow. "We are the weirdos, Mister" in a bottle. Late 2024 I got all the way into the concept of cat fur accords and fur notes in general. Whether its truly animalic and a little dirty or fluffy cozy fur, its one of my favorite note genres to explore. Black Cat is in my top 3 discoveries for this category and I'm so happy Diffractive Studio has made it apart of their core collection! #blackcat #fragrance #perfumes #catnap

A #caturday themed #saturdayscenttrio? Of course, cats are a rather abstract perfume concept but these three gorgeous scents each capture a different aspect so beautifully. @dgrayi ‘s White Cat Milk Tea is the epitome of regal fluffiness. For my nose it’s more rice than milk tea, but either way there is a musky, milky savoury note like a warm cat in a sunbeam, combined with a fluffy starchiness that speaks of freshly brushed fur and almost boneless relaxation. Bengale Rouge is a slinkier proposition, a golden streak of light stalking you from the corner of your eye, all sweetness until she pounces. This long term favourite from @papillonartisanperfumes is all about the sleek shining resins in the base, particularly the myrrh which is so rich and smooth it has always given me a hint of cinnamon buns - irresistible. And finally Black Cat by @diffractive_studio , one of my favourite new smells of the year. This is cat-as-void, a mere nothing that is strangely present, eyes always watching but fur warm and reassuring. Musky and a touch milky-sweet this is absolutely gorgeous and combines simplicity and mystique as only a cat can. These are all very different, yet all share warm, comforting and quite lickable qualities 🐈‍⬛ 😻 #saturdayscent #catperfume #muskperfume

This is my quick review of a fragrance house that literally blew me away and I fell in love with. Not only that but my kids are expecting me to get them bottles from this house for their personal collections. @diffractive_studio run by Allesandra, everything I needed to say I have try to put in this video.
