I had no idea any of this was happening—next thing I know, I get a DM from @quindelanoche 🖤🙌✨ Thank you, Qu’in! 💋💎 For those who’ve known me in my Burlesque life 💃✨—or even way back in my music days 🎶🎤—you know I’ve always been an anti-diva 🚫👑. I was an “ugly duckling” 🦆➡️🦢, a late bloomer who didn’t blossom until 25 🌸. I never expect to see my name on a “Top 50” list 📝⭐… but to be mentioned by the @21stcenturyburlesque Top 50’s Top 50 most influential in the world? It’s incredibly flattering 🥹💫. One of my biggest struggles—and sometimes the thing that makes me feel like quitting (especially, with this cultural climate ) 😮‍💨 🌲 makin me want to disappear into the woods—is receiving flowers 💐, credit 🎖️, and respect ✊🏾.
