Wonga House - Perched on a steeply sloping site above Willoughby Bay, the house steps with the terrain to capture views across the water and surrounding bushland reserve. THE BASTION PASSIVE HOUSE > We’re excited to break ground with @o2constructions on The Bastion Passive House 🌿🏡 Set within the Burley Griffin heritage conservation area, this home draws inspiration from Walter’s own work: sandstone blocks, textured materials, flowing curves, and integrated landscaping that anchor the house to its dramatic cliffside setting (a 10m drop from street to garden!). Designed to Passive House Plus certification, the home will combine insulated concrete formwork and CLT from @binderholzgroup , paired with triple-glazed @hyggewindows for outstanding thermal comfort and efficiency. This is a truly unique project: Part heritage homage, part future-forward sustainability. We can’t wait to share the journey with you.
