We’re Blackberry Zine Collective, a collaborative out of Baltimore, Maryland. Didi Cook-Creek(@didiwaswrite ), Kennedy McDaniel(@blaccine ), and Momo Mullings (@blackzinearchive ) seek to interpret, preserve, and deliver Black press work by independent means. Together, we create and host workshops and community events centered in Black feminist thought and the storied tradition of self publishing in the Black community. To us as cultural workers, the blackberry represents the power of the individual within the group and the small acts of solidarity that connect us. See y’all at Black Zine Fair 2026 for the third year in a row! Image description: Scrolling photo collage of Blackberry Zine Collective events, zines, and collective members.

Open letter: It is intensely infuriating and heart-wrenching to think of sweet, kind, smart Chantal held captive by the AFP. She went to Mindoro to do what we're all supposed to do. She was dedicated to liberation and showing real revolutionary compassion for her people, and for all people. She is a good friend, and a good poet. Many fellow students at UMBC sought education and connections in order to build the bombs and uphold the systems that were weaponized against Chantal and the Mangyan people on New Year's Day. Sad, despicable, antisocial pursuits that accelerate us all towards an uninhabitable future. Shame on the institution and the individuals within it that perpetuate this senseless violence in the Phillipines and all over the world. The AFP had no reason to bomb Abra de Ilog and has no reason to hold Chantal Anicoche. Release Chantal immediately! #releasechantalanicoche #palayainsichantal #freechantal

For my birthday, so many of my friends (in secrecy) worked together to make a zine full of reasons that they love me and memories we've made. MY HEART EXPLODED INTO 45MILLION PIECES UPON RECEIVING THIS. Then it melted back together as I read each sweet story. If you were a part of this know that I'm so grateful and I LOVE YOU 22222
