April is approaching and since my first ‘love’ passed one week from my anniversary im putting my special “I miss you so much” tribute here now.
Fun facts: Dad sang Sinatra in his early days out of the navy. He is the reason my brother is successful in his Billy Joel tribute band and I’ve been successful in my music career. We both were blessed with throwing ourselves into singing and performing. Shy in some ways and extrovert in others. Mike and I hate hearing our own voices sing but we do it anyway lol. Just dive in!
Dad was living his life “his way” fireman, singing, chasing life but then life chased him down quickly. We were told 2 years and he was gone in 6 weeks. It was called pulmonary fibrosis. I still question if this was because of exposure to the carcinogens when he didn’t wear his mask! Just RUN IN and save. He had heart attacks and strokes (one that left him not able to speak, walk, talk, drive) but the stubborn Italian said NOPE & went 3X a week to PT. He then drove, got a job in his 70’s at American Airways driving the cart inside to drive old people to their flights so they didn’t miss them, all while singing Sinatra on the golf cart 🤣.
He was a man’s man but at the same time he was everyone’s friend ready to help ANYONE! He taught me baseball, football, how to cut the grass, how (at 13) to sort invoices at his job on Saturdays at the oil company, how to hammer wood and stain it, I followed him everywhere! And he never minded!
After several years of his passing my brother had all of these uniforms in his possession and he gifted them to me in December and I’ve been a mushy moron since. I’m a proud daughter of who he was and how giving he was and most of all that he ALWAYS said yes if I asked him “can I come?” He was the only one that didn’t mind I tagged along. He was my best friend and I am who I am today because of my father.
@vinnysplit has so many of these qualities and I’m so thankful we turned our friendship and being best friends into marriage. Marry your best friend. I did and little pieces of dad are there. 💜

This little beauty was written by myself and it’s about how I view relationships and driving a car. He tried and tried so when he was content with being just friends I saw he wasn’t picking up what I was putting down…so it was “time he showed me and picked up speed, waited a long time for this to happen to me… forget the past, future at hand, just drive me crazy, I’ll understand.
Well the man kept his word…30+ years later and he’s still driving me crazy! 💋

LATE POST! <slide 4 was my favorite moment>
The last few months were a whirlwind but we did it! We had our 30 year vow renewal at The Duke Mansion with an elegant private ceremony, cocktail and dinner. There was such close friends and our immediate family that shared our tears and those that traveled from New York and Virginia and especially our son Tyler and wife Rachel from Colorado, made us feel extra special. I got to wear an actual wedding gown and felt like a real bride! We wrote our own vows and the day was perfect.

You’re still the one, after 32 years.
We had a phenomenal day, followed up with an amazing dinner at @restaurant_constance . Knowing that @chefsamdiminich was behind that wall preparing our food, put a smile on our face!
Our friend @djtnice asked another friend to find out what our favorite restaurant is so I told her and Todd ran out and got us a gift card! What happened when we got there was an even bigger surprise. A large gift bag was delivered to our table. Everything you would need for a fun date night. I’m prepped and ready to go!!! Thank you Sam, our friend, for your beautiful heart and this gift that will be cherished and surely used!!
Everything was superb ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

This was my gift during Covid that I never shared publicly. I sat her down and played it for her. I had friends, family, coworkers & others from Football players to TV personalities wish her a happy anniversary.
At 25 years, we went to Italy. Hard to top that while stuck at home, but many people pulled through for me.
After 3 moves in 3 years (long story for another time), I had to rinse and repeat this gift to help say how much my wife means to me to the world. We have a nice day planned tomorrow April 21st, our actual anniversary day.
