For three days and nights, we experienced wildflower season in full bloom. I’m so grateful for the time with this couple, their incredible families, and their friends.

Live on @overthemoon ! Sophie & Preston’s celebration was layered with meaning — heirloom details, florals inspired by her mother’s garden, and a setting filled with family, history, and quiet beauty. A day that felt deeply personal from beginning to end. 🤍
The bride’s childhood home was transformed for the celebration with the help of @thesocialofficeevents and two dresses that would define the night — her Oscar de la Renta ceremony gown and a reimagined version of her mother’s 1980s wedding dress.

Celebrated another year around the sun and also my 25th year (!) photographing weddings. That I can hardly believe.
I have to be honest, I’ve had this post ready for weeks, but it often feels ick and completely tone deaf to self-promote during times like these. But I have to remember for myself that there isn’t a bad time to celebrate people, the good things in life, and all of the love and creativity that goes into these incredible events.
And as we begin a new year, I want to thank my wild, lovely, and creative couples of 2025! You were original, you were genuine, and you were a JOY!
From jumping off a yacht in the Bahamas “Overboard” style, to a July 4 parade in a tiny mountain town, to a pool party & slip ’n slide in Hawaii, to an epic ceremony thunderstorm, to three completely transformed city ballrooms — and oh the dance floors, the wildest dance floors! I would repeat this year 10x over! I loved the way each couple creatively outlined their events, with experiences top of mind — both planned and the impromptu ones. You were a dream.
Of all the thousands of photographs I’ve taken this year, the ones I treasure most are just like yours — my favorite people in my favorite place, during the sweetest little moment in time.

When your wedding feels like stepping into a secret garden in the heart of Chicago.✨
Our client asked for transformation and we took that to heart. Inspired by her love of fall tones (and her soft spot for pink 💖), we layered cozy chocolate browns, rosy pinks, muted moss greens, and a striking pop of ginkgo yellow. Pattern play was our guide, weaving together textured linens, china, and layered details.
To shift the mood, we reimagined the floor plan with a dramatic golden banquette in a warm velvet flanked with leather club chairs running through the center. The result? An immersive dining experience that felt part club, part secret garden, and part autumnal fairytale in the sky. 🍂
