Let’s goooo. Two days to get the core out. Done with the ‘construction noise’ according to my wife. It is loud and sharp at the same time. The slow grind slowly shaving it little by little. Easiest part done, can’t wait to ‘slice’ the dial out.
On to the next dial. Regretfully this was the last of the same pattern. There are only 2 of this similar designs dial floating around Singapore. Looking forward to the next.
On a side note. This dial was so perfect until it broke.
Day 2 of practicing on movement. Today, NH35. Much more confusing with bridges and automatic and date complication. Hacking uses springs too. Will definitely take time to understand it more. Balance wheel is also much harder to set properly. But magic lever is super cool.
Day 5 of practice. Remembered to put the setting lever screw today and the barrel first. But put the setting lever screw upside down! Glad I’m experienced in doing this because it’s something I always forget. I don’t know how @tick.tim.time does it when putting the pallet fork and balance assembly.
Day 4 of practicing movement disassemble and assemble. Mistakes were made thus the cut. Haven’t found the confidence to remove the jewels. Special thanks to @lothwatches for the movement for practice. And of course @tick.tim.time for the emotional encouragement. Will continue to practice as much as I can.
Sorry to the people affected by the dial production as some tools are required and yet to arrive.
100 years of oyster. 34mm is an excellent size. Single baton to match the symmetry.
