April 5, 2019 - born in a basement, mid-tour in Detroit. An aftershow jam that turned into a song laced with visions of Valhalla, world-saving, and the self-implicated dirge of man.
Something that grand demanded a proper release: a limited run of lathe-cut vinyl, with a b-side cover of âAre âFriendsâ Electricâ ( #garynuman ).
For the video, Silas layered the first live recording of the track with footage from the first time we played it in Detroit proper. Full circle.

Five years (and one week) since we released our first LP.
This record began at home in Chicago at Altered States Audio with @foxnox in spring 2019, when we laid down the first singles âAnticipationâ & âNegativesâ. After retreating back into the garage to write and demo we made the trip to @keyclubrecordingco in Benton Harbor, Michigan at the end of 2019. In one lock-in studio weekend, we recorded nearly ten songs, some pre-arranged and others spur of the moment improvisations.
We ate our weight in pizza, played with every microphone and amp under the sun, bruised our egos, compared shoes and put together an album that weâre monumentally proud of - one that carried us through the pandemic, new states, and toward new ideas.
1,825 days later: something new is coming.
