The Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority received the delegation from the Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture led by Dr Constance N. The Director General, NTDA engaged with the African Hospitality and Tourism Education Summit (AHTES) team to explore opportunities for growing tourism through education and youth involvement. Following a formal invitation to participate at the AHTES 2026, Chimezie Mike, Project Director, AHTES, was represented by Florence Oyelade-Adedayo, Head of Programs, AHTES, alongside Prisca Okere, Head of Partnerships and Sponsorship, AHTES, who shared insights on the upcoming summit and awards scheduled for 24th –25th July, with a focus on students engagement, mentorship, scholarships, and industry exposure. The Director General yesterday received a team from Ufit Fly Travels, led by Mr. Alare Oriyomi Julius, Head of the Abuja Branch. Ufit Fly is a tour operating company that renders services including ticketing of local and international flights, hotel bookings around the world, and the organisation of both local and international tours. The company also provides a credit facility for ticketing and hotel bookings for government and private organisations. Mr. Alare Oriyomi Julius, expressed appreciation to the Director General for prior engagements, particularly the collaboration between Ufit Fly and the NTDA through the National Travel Bureau (NTB), which has enabled both organisations to work together in curating tours and advancing tourism operations.
