This week stretched me!!!!! ✔️4-hour finance meetings with my CP ✔️Planning sessions with a firm that’s evaluating our Dads2B model. ✔️Meetings with 3 major funders. ✔️Overseeing a full church renovation. ✔️Facilitating sessions myself due to staff shortage And in the middle of it all, I eulogized my big brothers funeral… (still haven’t fully processed this one) and officiated my little cousin’s wedding. Today? I’m in a new county doing outreach. (Short Staffed) For those who want to run a business, this is the part people don’t see. When you’re building something, anything really you don’t always get to delegate. Sometimes you gotta step in. Wear multiple hats. Fill the gaps. Show up whenever and wherever you are needed. You don’t get to say “That’s not my job” There is no clocking out 🤷🏽‍♂️ Running a business takes crazzzy sacrifice, it takes discipline. When everyone else clocks out and goes home, many times you’re still in the office grinding it out. I’m prayerful that it’s not always this heavy. I’m not complaining… I’m humbled I get to do this. And that’s not all!!!! Last but not least, Now I gotta spend some time with my family, I can’t serve the community and the church all week and leave my family hanging, so for those of you that know the how to pray, pray my strength…

Bobbing in and out of this Xmas traffic bumping one of my favorite Xmas albums. Whats yall favorite Xmas album????? What yall bumping???? I think PJ Morton is probably my next favorite, followed by CeeLo.

We had the chance to celebrate with a small group of our families at a holiday gathering, and my heart is full. Grateful for every family that has walked alongside us this year. This work is personal. Absolutely love what I get to do. We’re all about growing and stabilizing families Family is Everything

Youngstown, We’re Here! Our first in-person Dads2B session in Youngstown was a huge success! The conversation was organic, honest, and uplifting. I truly believe every man in that room left more encouraged, more confident, and with a renewed sense of hope, especially as Black men in a society that often overlooks us. Last night proved what we already know: DADS DO SHOW UP. We’re committed to being the very best fathers we can be for our families and for our communities. Thank you to every dad who came ready to grow. Youngstown, this is just the beginning.

Hopped out of one car and into the next…. headed to Youngstown for our FIRST in-person Dads2B session. Its crazy!!!!! What started as an idea has now expanded across the state…. We’re on a mission to help fathers get and stay involved from Day One!!!! Fathers are the foundation and backbone of our families and our communities. And we’re helping dads learn what that looks like, especially for the brothers who didn’t grow up with a positive male role model to show the way. Youngstown… WE HERE!!!!

I was honored to represent our organization at the Cradle Cincinnati Summit this week. I had the honor of facilitating our Day One Dad workshop, highlighting the powerful work we’re doing through our Dads2B program to engage and support fathers from day one. What made it even more special was seeing people from all across the country come together to learn, connect, and catch the vision of what father-focused programming can look like when done right. The energy in that room was crazy…. The conversations were real, the participation was strong, and the commitment to improving outcomes for fathers, families, and babies was inspiring. Huge thank you to Cradle Cincinnati for the invitation and for creating space for organizations like ours to share, learn, and collaborate with leaders from across the country. Events like this remind us how powerful it is when communities come together for a common cause.

I’m beyond grateful for everyone who came out, showed love, and supported this milestone. Your presence made it unforgettable 10 years down, forever to go.
