The Austrian Cultural Forum New York presents Architecture of Connection, a major monographic exhibition dedicated to the work of Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes, founded in Paris in 1994.
Through an international practice spanning bridges, transportation infrastructure, cultural and educational facilities, commercial buildings, and civic projects, we have developed an architectural approach grounded in structural clarity, technical precision, and a sustained engagement with public space. Our work explores architecture as a connective system, a spatial framework capable of linking people, places, and urban environments. @acfny@dfa.architectes@new_exhibitions@exhibition_newyork
The core of our practice lies a rigorous structural concept in which structure is not concealed, but articulated as the primary spatial and organizational framework. Construction systems and technical details remain visible and form an integral part of the architectural language. Architecture and engineering are conceived as a unified discipline, embedded in a coherent design methodology focused on accessibility, spatial legibility, and long-term performance. @acfny@dfa.architectes@toureiffelofficielle@exhibition_newyork@newyork_architecture
The exhibition brings together models, drawings, films, and large-scale panoramic documentation of completed and ongoing projects. It highlights the close relationship between design and construction while emphasizing the inherently collaborative nature of the building process. By acknowledging the contributions of engineers, contractors, and clients, the exhibition situates architecture within a broader collective endeavor.

After three weeks of taking down one show and installing the next, we are thrilled to open Dietmar Feichtinger: Architecture of Connection tomorrow, Thursday, March 5th.
Housed in a landmark building by Austrian architect Raimund Abraham, the @acfny presents a survey of Dietmar Feichtinger’s work, from bridges and transportation infrastructure to educational, cultural, office, residential, and civic projects. Feichtinger’s architecture is defined by constructive clarity, social openness, and a sensitivity to public space, acting as a connective force between people, places, and disciplines.
His projects emphasize movement, encounter, and shared experience, combining precise engineering with a sense of poetic lightness. Across his work, three core concerns emerge: Community: Open spatial concepts that foster interaction and strengthen social connections.
Purpose: Designs rooted in functionality, innovation, and a deep understanding of each project’s use.
Future: A commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and adaptability to changing needs.
Join us as we explore how architecture can connect society through thoughtful design.
