Celebrated the start of my/our 28th year with a quick b2b together

Hey, it’s Syro!
I haven’t been doing this for long, but my love for music has always been deeply rooted in me. Here’s a little bit about my journey…
I grew up playing instruments (flute and clarinet) and spent years in choir. High school wasn’t the easiest, but music became more than just a class - it was my escape. Between Vocals and geeking out in Visual Arts (lol), I started to find pieces of myself.
It wasn’t just something I heard… it was something I felt.
When my school finally introduced a dance program, I fell in love all over again. I really thought I was about to be cast in the next Step Up movie 💀
After graduating, life took its course, but I stayed close to the scene - working in nightlife and searching for a creative outlet. That’s when I found
@ottawashufflers , and things started to shift. I’ve been on this journey with them for about 6 years now… which is still crazy to me.
If you’ve made it this far - thank you, I appreciate you 🫶🏼
Fast forward to now…
For the past year, I’ve been working closely with DJs through social media management, learning everything that happens behind the scenes. Watching Devon build sets - the time, the pressure, the passion - it made everything feel real.
I’ve been saying for years that this is what I wanted to do. I was just too scared to fully go for it.
Until now.
Minigloo,
@fred.ranger - thank you for giving me the opportunity to finally step into this. I needed that push more than you know (pics + vids coming soon 👀)
This is only the beginning… even if it feels like it’s been a lifetime in the making. I’m surrounded by such a talented and supportive community, and I’m beyond grateful for all of you.
And the biggest thank you to Devon - my inspiration and biggest cheerleader through it all. I love you ✌🏼🫶🏼
