Grown up Sharkboy and Lavagirl, made entirely using sashiko stitching on thrifted/scrap pieces I had lying around. Because you gotta have a comfy costume too…

Wishing I could live in the exuberance of last weekend forever. Channelling @66wind99 was so unbelievably fun. Thanks to @ikapos_captured_ for my new fave photo, @evanevanevanh for throwing a great party, the Maisel Costume sale for the dress, and Cymbalta for the balls to wear it out the house!

My fave vintage vendor @shopfromthepast is turning 6 and doing a giveaway for folks that post their favorite vintage items! It’s impossible for me to choose one favorite, but here are some of my most worn/loved items 1- This psychedelic 70s mens shirt whose pattern I could not love more. If I was costume designing for myself this shirt would definitely be one of the “character” pieces 2- My BELOVED rainbow jeans that have been with me for longer than Jack has- you may have to bury me in these 3- My party pants! This sequin appliqué set is still my most serendipitous find. I got the pants at a thrift store in Claremont and the jacket at a vintage fair 4 years later. Could not believe it. 4- Rodeo Queen set from @shopfromthepast herself!!! So comfy and incredibly fun to wear 5- Pink leather trench I got in Ireland with Carmen that matches everything, and the Psychadelic 60s number beneath it! 6- This completely gorgeous hostess jumpsuit I thrifted in high school! I wear this literally every chance I get 7- Another amazing 60s/70s print little number! Do we sense a theme? 8- 1940s lounge top/mini dress with the best closures I’ve ever seen 9- The ever iconic fruit sweater #hbdshopfromthepast
