On Saturday 23rd May, Olly and I will be running a marathon along the Exe as part of his “Marathons for Miracles” challenge — running a marathon in every county to raise funds for Tommy’s, the pregnancy and baby charity.
Our route starts at Exeter Riverside parkrun, goes to Darts Farm, then Exmouth RNLI, and back to Exeter.
As dads who’ve experienced baby loss, this is close to our hearts, and we want to raise awareness and support for Tommy’s.
If you want to drop in and join us at any point, DM me your number, and I’ll add you to our WhatsApp group so you can track our progress. No need to run the full distance — a cheer or chat with us would mean a lot!

Join us this summer for a special fundraising event in support of our gallery’s future programme. Art historian Sam Smiles will present an engaging talk on the late paintings of J.M.W. Turner.
Turner’s late work divided opinion during his lifetime — admired by some and dismissed by others as chaotic and incomprehensible. Yet the very qualities once criticised are now recognised as central to his importance in the history of modern art.
This combined talk and supper event will explore how the artist’s reputation was made, lost, and remade, asking whether Turner should be seen as a Victorian eccentric or a visionary far ahead of his time.
