Great live scoring by the NY band #MorriconeYouth @morriconeyouth tonight at #NightHawkCinema in Brooklyn to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the silhouette film by German artist #LotteReiniger. Bassist #JohnCastro @johnny_sevens and the rest of the band did a wonderful job bringing the picture to life with original material performed by great musicians including #SamiStevens @samistevens on vocals, Aaron Edgcomb @aaron.edgcomb on drums, Devon E. Levins @devonelevins on guitar, Daniel Tory Kessler @forestrocketsmusic on keys, Fraser Campbell @fraseracampbell . Most of these musicians also wrote the compositions that make up the record by the same name, which came out a while ago (I believe the last 5 copies were sold tonight, making it officially sold out!), but fear not: John Castro and I are embarking into the recording of new material of his next month so you’ll have a new vinyl to buy soon enough!
