A Chorus Line 🎩 🎩 🎩
(yapapalooza inbound, apologies)
Not often in our world do we work on shows with such real world relevancy to our lives & careers. It’s a gruelling, passionate, and intense story of what it means to be a broadway dancer, and though I am not one, it’s safe to say the content hits very close to home. This was one of those shows that I always loved, but was never a “dream show” because I thought it was entirely unachievable for me. I mean, I’m not a dancer. And yet, 3 years into some amazing training, here I am. And getting to watch my friends who are dancers shine in all the brightest ways day in day out warmed my heart immensely.
A Chorus Line has been the highlight of my career to date, after pushing myself in every way, and having the privilege of working with one of the best ensembles I’ve ever been a part of, who put literal blood, sweat (mostly me on that one), tears, hip injuries, thumb sprains, and just about everything else they had into this production. Not to mention our fearless, outbound director
@schvener2024 who put this program on the map. And with him goes the
@macewanmtp current fourth years, a group of people that I am incredibly honoured to know and be friends with, and know that they will go incredibly far as the door to the industry opens for them.
This show is so so special and I wish it didn’t have to end so soon. But in the end, we all have to kiss today goodbye, and point ourselves towards tomorrow — but not one of us will forget what we did for love.
