Feature Friday: DeVille Vannik — international actor, stuntman & action producer. Trained at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, DeVille sharpened his craft in Los Angeles before making Cape Town his home.
With deep experience in stunts and fight choreography, he’s doubled for Ethan Hawke, Guy Pearce, Shah Rukh Khan, Richard Madden and Taz Skylar (One Piece). Seen in blockbusters like Maze Runner, Bloodshot, Chappie and Warrior, and cast in Raised by Wolves, Black Sails, Deep Blue Sea 3 and BBC’s Troy: Fall of a City.

🔥This goes to show how much work goes into the Previs and action design stage to help bring some of your favourite actions scenes to life. Production relies heavily on the stunt department to create the action and come up with the shots that would highlight the action and how to best shine light on the actors involved so that everything is epic but safe.
Huge thanks to the riggers involved for keeping us all safe and making everyone look incredible. Truly the backbone and often the unsung heros 👊

One Piece season 2 is finally here 🙌
What a wild and wonderful adventure into the grand line. It was an absolute honour being part of this incredible team 🙏 and I am insanely proud of what we all accomplished.
I had the privilege of being the Sanji stunt double and working with one of the most hardworking, talented and capable actors I’ve ever met. @taz_skylar is the real deal and did so much of the stunt work himself. He trained relentlessly and mastered every bit of action handed to him. I couldn’t be more proud of what you put up on screen my brother 👊
This will go down as one of the finest shows I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on. And the memories will last me a lifetime. Thank you to each and every wonderful soul that I got to share this journey with 🫶
