The sun lines up perfectly with this incredible arch for only a specific window each year. DP @alexpollini not only captured but somehow elevated this epicness, and it remains among my favorite days on any set – or any beach! Hugs and 🙌 to my sweet, amazing team wading in the waves that day 🌊

This was one of those scenes where you (i.e., mostly @alexpollini ) quickly accomplish a lot with a little. Small kitchen, no time, just get that HMI up, silk it, ok now switch lenses — oh, Jana hates coffee? Ok can she just smell it and pretend it’s appealing? We’re running out of time…
…But despite the hurry, somehow each time it works. You get the shot. Or if you don’t quite nail it, you realize in the edit that it wasn’t essential after all. In this case Alex nailed it and @jesseselwyn didn’t have a heart attack. And maybe @manderson1980 even patted us on the back — he was a great ally in that little house…
