⚠️Blood Warning⚠️ Pavement was looking cute so I went in for a kiss. Guess I was wrong. Six stitches in my eyelid is the worst of it. Few days off and then back at it soon. Reminder that helmets are amazing and do their job. Especially the @girocycling spherical technology, likely would have had a concussion without it. Also thank you to @helgersonic for making sure I was okay and making sure I get the medical attention I needed.
From a front row start @belgianwaffleride in San Diego and the riding to a 60th overall on the day. Then in the car for 3 days to get to Wenatchee Washington for the @tourdebloom stage race. Although I wasn’t able to finish the race due to sickness #bloomflu , I truly am thankful for where the bike has taken me. This past week has been a huge reminder of how far I have come and how far I still have to go in this sport.
BWR Utah Recap. Mobbed out with @lancy_pants , met up with @swilliamandrews in Vegas and ripped around the red rocks. We pre rode the single track sections, and this definitely was a good idea. Race day was cold as shit. Was in the front group until mile 35 when everything absolutely exploded with Stetina driving it on the front and splits opening up. Found myself trying to bridge up to what looked like group 2 (turns out was group 3) and spent the day in groups of around 6 at most. Died a thousand deaths on the last climb. Was half blind in the last single track and then smashed the last 5 miles to the finish. Rolled in for 44th overall on the day (7th in 19-34 age group). Good redemption after a very disappointing Arizona.

Rude awakening back into crit racing with two of the hardest (but my favorite) courses of the season and some of the strongest fields in recent years. Cats Hill was disappointed but was able to suffer through Santa Cruz Classic the next day. Good reminder what racing really feels like. Back to the dirt grind getting ready for BWR Utah and San Diego.
