Last month, our CEO @hmryder continued engaging African diplomatic missions in Beijing as part of ongoing conversations around strengthening Africa–China partnerships. Among them was a courtesy call with H.E. Dudley McKinley Thomas, Ambassador of Liberia and Dean of the West African Region, where discussions explored stronger collaboration with West African embassies, particularly around attracting more Chinese investment into the region. As conversations around trade, investment and economic cooperation continue to grow, engagements like these remain important in shaping stronger Africa–China partnerships. 🌍 #AfricaChina #Investment #Diplomacy #DevelopmentFinance #ChinaAfrica

China has extended tariff-free access to virtually all African countries, now including major economies like Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. As our CEO, @hmryder shared on the @bbcnews podcast, the real shift is not just in access, but in what it makes possible. Removing tariffs on processed goods creates stronger incentives for value addition, opening the door for countries to move beyond raw exports and build real industrial capacity. The opportunity is clear, but outcomes will depend on how effectively it is leveraged. 🎧 Listen to the full podcast via the Link in our bio #AfricaChina #GlobalTrade #tradepolicy

Yet countries are paying up to US$4.2bn more annually in interest than comparable emerging markets, driven in part by continued reliance on Eurobonds. But alternatives exist. From Panda, Samurai, Diaspora, Masala to Sukuk bonds, our new dataset explores how non-traditional financing instruments can offer more competitive options and access to a wider pool of investors. 📊 Explore the dataset via link in bio #AfricaFinance #InnovativeFinance #DevelopmentFinance #Agenda2063
