We go where the community is. This month we visit Mid City- alongside our sisters at Mid City Mercado. Don’t know the block? Come see it. Photowalks are for reflection, release & being with the pack, however that looks for you. All are welcome. RSVP in bio. For us, by us, because we love all of us. ☀️
Here’s a lil video recap of our Film Developing 101 workshop at Color Compton! It was a journey of experimentation, fun, and some beautiful surprises as we developed our stories. It was stressful, beautiful, a lil’ tragic—developing film is always a risk, you never know what’s going to come out, but learning together as a community is always a win.💫
A huge shoutout to everyone who joined us—your energy was everything! This workshop wasn’t just about film; it was about creating a space where folks of all ages can come together, learn, and feel empowered to tell their own stories. We’re committed to fostering a culture of accessibility, where every voice is heard and valued through the art of film.📸🫀
Special shoutout to @factoflics and @ed_024_ for being our Film Developing 101 Kahoot champions and winning their very own Cinestill developing kits to keep creating at home!
The magic of film is real, and we can’t wait to do it all again. Stay tuned for more workshops and more moments to capture! 🎞️✨ #FilmMagic #CommunityInAction #DevelopedInCompton
Compton Photo Walk with @developedincompton 👟📸🎨
Had a good time walking around Compton with some talented photographers from the LA area. Compton, Lynwood, Mid-City… y’all got some incredible people 🙏🏼
1.31.2025
Developed in Compton is a film processing shop that offers film and print services as well as workshops for the community. They are a part of Color Compton, a space where the local youth can learn about art, history, and identity so that they can express themselves to the fullest. It’s a beautiful gem in the heart of Compton right across from the MLK Memorial. A fitting place for the space.
Thank you to the crew for letting me film the walk! Check out their shop and events if you’re in the LA area. Much love for The Land 💙❤️
Growing up in South Central - An Interview with Diego Aquino from Developed in Compton 🎥🌇
My friend Diego talks about the Low Bottoms, a part of South Central that’s always bustling with hard workers and good people.
This was during a photo walk hosted by Developed in Compton and Color Compton, had a lot of fun meeting new people, learning more about LA and my friends, and drinking some good coffee from @cafecalle ☕️
Shoutout to Diego for doing the interview, more to come 🤙🏼
