In honor of Earth Day and our beautiful city, we’re bringing the community together for a feel-good day packed with: music from the OHM djs, Raffle Prizes with limited edition OHM merch, Seedling giveaways, and most importantly, a neighborhood cleanup to show love to our city! We’ve got you covered with free gloves, trash bags, and trash grabbers (grabbers are limited while supplies last). All you need to do is bring your energy, good vibes, your dancing feet, and some water to keep yourself hydrated! While we won’t be bringing the bespoke OHM sound system out for this one, don’t worry we will still be bringing out a hard hitting system for day time groovin. In two weeks we welcome you back for the second installment of our documentary screening series. On Wednesday, February 18, at Alias Coffee in Albany, we'll explore the roots of Drum and Bass and its rapid evolution from the mid '90s to 2016 with a screening of Drum and Bass: The Movement. The film traces how a UK underground club culture grew into a global force, shaping pop music, video games, and beyond; and why DnB has always been more than a genre. It was a lifestyle, with its own fashion, language, and attitude, deeply rooted in multiculturalism and shared club experiences. This community-centered night begins at 6:30 pm and features music selections from the OHM DJs before and after the screening, open discussion, and conversation about the past, present, and future of underground electronic music and the OHM project. Popcorn will be available for purchase, and Alias Coffee will be open throughout the evening for drinks and light refreshments. Do you enjoy electronic music, arts, and the culture surrounding them? Are you curious about the roots of electronic music and its global evolution? OHM invites you to our inaugural documentary screening, launching a new series exploring the cultural and historical impact of electronic music and arts. On January 15th, at 6:30pm at Alias Coffee in Albany; our screening will feature, “High Tech Soul: The Creation of Techno Music”, a seminal documentary that traces the origins of techno music in Detroit. The film explores the city’s social and economic history, from the 1967 uprising to the underground party scene of the late 1980s, and highlights how a resilient community created a groundbreaking sound that reshaped global music culture. Join us before and after the screening for community discussion and sound selections from the OHM crew. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be available for purchase from Alias. Popcorn will be provided.

Every piece was a collaboration, and we’re so proud to highlight the people behind the work. Out of Troy, David of @lyf_supply absolutely nailed the embroidery on our hats — the quality, attention to detail, and pride in his work is visible in every stitch. It means a lot to work with someone local who cares just as much about the final product, and working with other businesses in the community as much as we do. In Albany, Megan, Joel, and the team at @contemporarydesigns518 brought decades of screen printing expertise to our shirts, and it shows — clean, durable prints that will last a lifetime. We highly recommend working with this company for any of your screen printing needs! Our stickers came from @hubcityslaps out of Texas, a small shop recommended by a friend, and they delivered some of the best we’ve seen: crisp, durable, and made with care. And we can’t say enough about @designbyraido , our in-house designer, who helped turn OHM’s visual identity from a swirl of ideas into something intentional, sleek, and perfectly embodies the vibe of our organization. This weekend at our launch party and fundraiser, we’re unveiling the first iteration of our bespoke high-performance sound system, a huge milestone for OHM, and the community. As we continue to grow, we want to be fully transparent about how your support helps shape this vision. All donations and proceeds from this event will go directly toward building the second stage of the sound system, which will add two more stacks to the setup. We’ll also be covering production costs from this first show. Anything left over will go toward our primary goal: opening a permanent community space, a club and creative venue where people can experience music, art, skill-sharing, and connection. This vision is ambitious, but it reflects the depth of creativity and potential we see in the capital region community. Artists in this region deserve the infrastructure and support to thrive.
