Indie Bookstore Day is this Saturday, April 25th! This is a nationwide celebration of independent bookstores, held every year on the last Saturday in April, created to help support bookstores in your local community. If you live in the Detroit area, check out the grand opening of Howard Family Bookstore (13803 Puritan ave, Detroit, MI) this Saturday at 11am. @howardfamilybookstore Here is an interview we did with our friend and the owner of HFB, Jerjuan Howard. @jerjuan.howard /howard-family-bookstore/

Two cousins. A lifetime of Detroit music history. Bert Dearing (on left) has built Bert's Warehouse into a cornerstone of jazz, soul, and live performance in Detroit's Eastern Market district. Miller London (on right) helped shape the sound of Motown Records during its golden era. Here they are together. Standing inside Bert's Warehouse next to the Queen of Soul (Detroit vocalist Aretha Franklin) in a space that helps keep the music alive! Detroit legacy still in motion. These guys need to write a book!
