YOUTH AVOIDERS - Defiance LP OUT NOW! Eight years have passed since Youth Avoiders released their second album, Relentless. In a world ruled by urgency and immediacy, taking the time to do things properly still matters. Beyond the hundreds of shows played worldwide, this period in the band’s life was marked by major events: a global pandemic and a lineup change. These shocks required the band to step back in order to finish this new record the way it deserved. Defiance is a collection of observations on the social injustices at the core of today’s society. A set of anthems calling for resistance, urging listeners to stand up, fight back, defend the oppressed, and reclaim power. Defiance is the natural continuation of Relentless: the same frantic tempos driven by Marlon’s ultra-tight drumming, the same sharp and melancholic guitar riffs from Christoph, and the same melodic rage carried by Christopher’s voice. For this album, Nico (Bleakness, Deletär, Destructure Records) handled the recording and also played bass. As with Relentless, mixing was done by Guillaume Doussaud at Swan Sound Studio, with mastering handled by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory Mastering. The stunning artwork for this new album was created by Gaspard Le Quiniou of Arrache Toi Un Œil. Depending on where you live, the record is (or will be) available on all streaming platforms later today. Vinyl records are still in production and are due to be delivered in late January. Shipping is expected in early February. ÉPISODE 22 – Avec Christopher, chanteur du groupe Youth Avoiders. Les Parisiens de Youth Avoiders sont les maîtres français d’un punk-hardcore nerveux, mélodique et hyper rapide. Après avoir été omniprésents pendant dix ans, ils ont ralenti le rythme ces dernières années mais font leur retour ces jours-ci avec « Defiance », leur troisième album, et la première grosse sortie française de 2026. Christopher m’a parlé de la facilité avec laquelle Youth Avoiders a trouvé sa recette, de la florissante scène parisienne des années 2010 et de la vitesse presque intenable imposée par leur batteur. Venez fêter la sortie de "Blurred Visions", nouvel album de @bleaknesspunk sur @vicious_circle_records Le 26 mars au @sonic_lyon avec Sssimian Seizzure. BLEAKNESS (Post Punk - Dark Punk, Paris) Formé en 2017 à Nantes - avant de se baser à la Capitale il y a quelques années - Bleakness a beaucoup évolué depuis ses débuts. Initialement branché par le hardcore américain et le punk anglais, les morceaux du trio sont progressivement devenues plus sombres, le tempo s'est ralenti, créant une atmosphère de plus en plus froide et tendue. Fraîchement sorti sur Vicious Circle records, leur nouvel album intitulé Blurred Visions ravira les fans de Killing Joke, New Model Army et T.S.O.L. /bleaknesspunk Sssimian Seizzure (No Wave - Post Punk, Lyon) Jeune groupe monté par quatre musiciens (Lovataraxxx, Ran, Boucan, Death To Mankind, etc.) issus de la scène indé Lyonnaise dont la musique semble se perdre quelque part entre The Residents, Devo et autres influences mystérieuses et inavouables.
