The thing about designing kids’ rooms is that they don’t actually have to look kiddy or cartoonish. A big part of being a kid is enjoying vivid colors and patterns. Bringing this into bedroom design makes the room feel full of fun and whimsy.
Here, I use the cream boucle upholstery of the @cozey Ara bed frame to set the stage for the bedding (and all the stuffies that will eventually take over the bed).
I’ve been completely enamored by the enigmatic pale olive of @morrowsoftgoods percale cotton, and it happens to pair perfectly with an ikat print of the @westelmcleveland duvet cover I bought more than a decade ago. Everything ties in with the blue wall. It’s charming, chic, and child-friendly. 🧸
