Ice garden, a new installation designed and constructed by ELSE, around the foot of the Great Wall. The installation is made out of several meandering fabrics going through the forest and sprayed with water to form thin layer of ice on the surface. Thus the wild space inside the forest becomes a garden of ice.

The installation catches light with delicacy. As the sun moves across the courtyard, the translucent organza shifts between translucence and reflection, turning the air itself into a luminous field.
