Beyond Black Mirrors by Des DeVivo is heavily inspired by the hillbilly noir writings of @reddyfiction and is a terrifying, sexy tale of someone obsessed with having their own Appalachian cryptid encounter. But without the safety of the glass separating fantasy from reality, will those plagued by curiosity find pleasure… or pain? I had the pleasure of narrating this piece back in November as part of #humanvoicesonly and couldn’t stop thinking about how well it lends itself to an audio drama style reimagining.
