Dutch pot colour system legend
A bilingual vocabulary of Caribbean and British vernacular, pulled from my Dutch pot lid etchings. Built up from a tight, restricted set of letters on the lid itself.
Each word and phrase is translated into a tonal value to form a visual dialect. Not to be read, but felt.
Language shifts into new relationships:
The same voices, just carried differently.
