The AI and its Newtype pilot have bled, scavenged, and endured across the Crimson Wastes. Together they’ve grown feral, symbiotic — bound by instinct as much as purpose. Every hunt, every trophy, every whispered thought shared between them has been survival distilled into ritual.
But survival is never enough.
The discovery of an ancient manufacturing complex promised salvation. Rows of skeletal gantries, half-collapsed lifts, and rust-choked assembly lines — the bones of a forgotten age. The dream of fresh parts, of power restored, of more than scavenged scrap.
It was a lie.
The facility was not abandoned. The depths already belong to others — a labyrinth of cages and kill-zones stretching down into the earth. Each level is a gauntlet, each descent another crucible. Chains rattle, shadows shift, and rivals sharpen their teeth in the dark.
The AI feels it first: that static charge of imminent violence. The pilot knows it too — the prickle in the blood, the echo in the mind. They are not hunters here. They are prey in a pit where only one thing matters: survival.
The Crimson Wastes have shaped them into predators. Now the depths will decide if that was enough.

Since I have a number of new followers I thought I would repost some images of last year's #gbwc entry.
I'm still very proud of this piece and achieving second place. But I think there is a clear improvement in my skills since this piece.

It feels like time to revisit this.
When I first coined Grimepunk, it wasn’t a philosophy. It wasn’t even serious.
It was an excuse — a way to justify the mess. I was lazy, cutting corners, hiding rough paint beneath rust and dirt. A tongue-in-cheek defence of chaos, born from trying to make poor technique sound intentional.
But somewhere along the line, the joke stopped being funny — because I started to mean it.
I began studying what I used to fake: how paint flakes, how metal rots, how grime settles where the world forgets to look. I learned that it actually takes control to make something convincingly ruined. That decay demands restraint. That less really can be more.
And slowly, Grimepunk became something deeper.
It turned into a way of seeing — a reflection of how I process the world, the mind, the lack of control that runs through both. It’s tied closely now to #DerelictMind — my space for talking about the same themes through mental health: chaos, endurance, and the beauty in what refuses to stay clean.
Some people look at my work and think, “Is he okay?”
Others just nod. They feel it. The exhaustion. The honesty. The stubborn kind of survival that hides in rust and ruin. I never expected it to connect like this — but it has, and that’s been humbling.
Over time, it’s grown branches:
Grimedark — my Warhammer world, a niche within a niche. Where the rusted aesthetic becomes narrative; where the human and the monstrous share the same decay.
And now, that same mindset has carried into Gundam and Gunpla — corroded mechs, worn armour, worlds breaking down. It’s made me wonder… should this branch have its own name? Grimepla? Grimedam? Or maybe it’s all just Grimepunk at heart. What do you think, Entropists?
Because that’s what this has become — not a style, but a language.
A way to turn excuses into intention. Mess into meaning.
To everyone who’s been part of this journey — thank you for helping a lazy cover-up become something real.

Just two weeks until these two Hairy Bears return to @ukgamesexpo !
It has become a proper tradition now for my brother @bayly_the_beard and I to spend the weekend immersed in our shared love of tabletop games and geekdom. It is the one time of year we really get to step away and dive into the community together.
This year has only one non-negotiable rule: NO KEBABS.
Last year our weekend was cut short by a brutal bout of food poisoning, so I plan to make up for every lost hour this time around. I want to get involved properly by demoing more games, meeting new people, and even giving the pin collective a go.
The Expo has had a massive impact on my hobby and my life in general over the years. I first tried Gunpla at a @waylandgames stand, which was a huge milestone for me and led to my gbwc achievements. It is where I have discovered new favorite board games and met some great people. It provides a necessary escape from the real world and has always helped me push the boundaries of my anxiety.
I would love to meet more of you this year, so please do say hi if you see me wandering the halls. Help me remember how to be sociable and get out of my own head for a bit.

Who else is excited for the Armageddon box set? Orks or Space Marines?
To be honest I am genuinely tempted by both sides of this box but the Space Marine half is exactly what I have been hoping for.
These models provide the perfect blank slate for me to finally kick off my Minotaurs properly. They represent a ready canvas for the grit and industrial decay I want to explore.
I love the technical side of converting but I have to be honest about my process. Building has become a significant hurdle for me lately.
Between the overthinking that comes with my ADHD and the paralysis of high-complexity kits the mechanical monotony of assembly can feel like a wall. I do not want to spend hours aligning components before the creative work even begins.
These push-fit miniatures are the solution. They offer a resilient frame that I can get together quickly so I can focus my energy on the conversion and the aesthetic.
I have actually been hunting for the original 8th edition launch Primaris for this exact reason. There is a specific kind of freedom in starting with a simple foundation that respects your mental bandwidth.
Which side of the box are you leaning toward? Do you prefer the brutal character of the Orks or the clean slate potential of the Marines?

I keep forgetting to post the Minotaurs characters I've built. First up is my Terminator Captain.
I still want to add a plume to show his veteran status. But I was thinking that his weapon was earned during his time serving in the deathwatch.
